CAIAA Certifies 550 New Members

Despite Challenging Markets, Investment Professionals Continue to Seek Enhanced 'Alternatives' Education and Designation

AMHERST, MASS, July 8, 2008 - The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIAA) today welcomed the Class of March 2008, a group of 550 new members who received the CAIA designation during the most recent examination period. 

Out of 800 individuals who registered for the Level II March 2008 CAIA exam, 550 successfully passed.  They now join the ranks as official CAIA designees. With the addition of the new class, more than 2,000 financial service industry professionals around the world have earned the CAIA designation.

"We congratulate and welcome this new group of talented and driven CAIA designees," said Craig Asche, Executive Director of the CAIA Association.  "Given the current market uncertainties; now more than ever, financial professionals are looking for ways to distinguish themselves by ensuring their skills incorporate the latest industry developments, and we are pleased to offer the professional credential of choice for the AI community."
