Singapore CAIA Program Presentation

The CAIA Charter - the Present and Future in Alternative Investment Knowledge 

    Heightened competition and increased scrutiny by both investors and regulators make it imperative that alternative investment specialists have a way to differentiate themselves. The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation is the only global professional standard for the AI industry and has rapidly become its hallmark of excellence. Earning the CAIA Charter certifies one's mastery of the concepts, tools and practices essential for understanding and managing alternative investments.

 Since the CAIA Association offered the first exam in February 2003, over 4000 candidates from more than 60 different countries have registered for the CAIA program.  Thousands of organizations have sent participants through the program, representing prime brokers, banks, advisory, consulting, asset management and accounting firms, as well as public and private pensions, foundations, family offices insurance companies and industry regulators.  Firms that have had employees participate in the program include MAS, Government of Singapore Investment Company, Sumitomo Life, Citi, Man Investments, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and the World Bank.  Several organizations, including the SEC, PAAMCO and CSFB now use the CAIA examinations to complement their internal training programs.

    On May 22, Craig Asche, Executive Director of the CAIA Association, will be speaking at SMU about the CAIA program and professional charter, the global mark of distinction in alternative investments.
