Charting a New Course
News concerning the ABS industry is increasingly garnering media and
political coverage. What was the vocabulary and knowledge of few has
become common vernacular. Average citizens openly debate the mortgage
industry's lending standards, and how the packaging of these securities
for subsequent sale has damaged investor confidence and spread to the
broader economy.
Nevertheless, securitization is a valuable and essential
technology, and we must gather together as an industry to begin the
rebuilding process and to strengthen its foundation.
IMN's ABS East®, this October 19-22 in Miami, Florida comes at an
