    The Associate Director of Industry Relations, Australasia, coordinates and executes the promotion of the CAIA designation to the investment community in Asia, Australia & New Zealand. The investment community includes, but is not limited to, financial firms, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. Activities shall include, but not be limited to, establishing outreach opportunities, presenting the CAIA program in private and public venues, and speaking to the press on behalf of the CAIA Association. The position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Outreach.  

    Job Responsibilities

    Public Relations

    • Interfacing with the press on behalf of the CAIA Association
    • Contributing to CAIA communications on industry developments

     

    Industry Outreach

    • Establishing relationships with industry associations and institutions
    • Giving public and private presentations to industry associations and institutions
    • Participating in conferences and events on behalf of the CAIA Association
    • Working with Department heads and internal education departments to encourage sponsoring employees to sit for the CAIA exams, approve of public use of the CAIA designation, and to promote the CAIA program internally 

     

    Position Requires

    • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in the alternative investment space, preferably in a marketing or sales position
    • Ability to work closely with other staff members on collaborative initiatives in a constantly evolving environment
    • Willingness to travel extensively on behalf of the CAIA Association
    • Public speaking experience preferred.  Candidate will be trained in public speaking and should be comfortable talking to large and small audiences
    • Must hold the CAIA designation or earn the CAIA designation within eighteen months of hire
    • MBA and/or CFA preferred
    • Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese in addition to English preferred
    • Position will be based in Singapore

    IT Director  

    The IT Director will partner with the management team to align company information technology with the strategic direction of the CAIA Association by building and developing IT organization, processes and procedures to support business needs.  The IT Director is responsible for the IT development and deployment and user training to ensure quality, performance and scalability of all IT systems. 

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supervise IT projects to include evaluation, research, implementation and support
    • Manage new website project
    • Maintain vendor relationships and source new vendors as needed  
    • Provide database support and network management
    • Review and maintain company disaster recovery plan
    • Evaluate and implement IT procedures and equipment for maximum efficiency and cost containment
    • Develop/select and conduct user training on an as-needed basis 

     

    Position Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years experience with management & implementation of large scale database and website projects, including specification, documentation and VAT
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
    • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
    • Strategy and planning: an ability to think ahead and plan for a 12 -24 month span
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects
    • Strong skills in Linux, MySQL, PhP, basic SQL programming, Microsoft applications and website management
    • PMP certification a plus

    Associate Directors of Curriculum

    CAIA is looking for three (3) - four (4) Associate Directors to cover alternative investment areas: hedge funds, private equity, commodities and CTA's, and real estate.

    The Associate Director of Curriculum will be responsible for the development of the CAIA exam study materials including the Study Guides and supporting reading materials within their area of expertise.  These positions will work closely with the Director of Curriculum, Director of Examinations, teams of experts made up of authors, CAIA employees, CAIA members, and members of the various CAIA Boards and Committees.  These positions will report directly to the Director of Curriculum.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Follow academic research and industry trends in  the (1) or two (2) areas of alternative investments
    • Write and manage the development and revision of topic outlines, study guides, supporting reading materials, and exam questions to ensure consistency throughout the program
    • Participate in industry and academic conferences on behalf of the CAIA Association


    Position Requires

    • PhD or ABD with specialization in alternative investments
    • ABDs in advanced dissertation stages may be considered provided that they have at least 3 years of industry experience
    • Candidates with MBA degree will be considered provided that they have at least 5 years of industry experience
    • Teaching experience is highly desirable
    • Excellent writing skills are essential
    • Positions based in Amherst, MA

Marketing Associate

    The Marketing Associate supports the strategic objective of promoting the CAIA designation and providing a high quality of service for CAIA members and candidates by implementing and executing marketing programs.  Activities shall include, but not be limited to, media partnership maintenance and development, collateral maintenance and development, ad campaign development and execution, and copywriting of all types of communications.  This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Outreach.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Managing the public relations campaign
    • Establishing and executing the CAIA advertising campaign
    • Initiating, negotiating and maintaining media partnerships for the membership with industry service providers
    • Developing & maintaining thought-leadership initiatives
    • Copywriting the monthly CAIA Association Newsletter
    • Developing and copywriting the CAIA Association Year in Review
    • Reviewing and updating marketing information on the CAIA website 
    • Developing & managing corporate collateral and collateral inventory oversight
    • Manage printhouse relations

    Position Requires

    • At least 3 years experience in the sales and marketing field or in a related field
    • Copywriting experience in a corporate setting
    • Ability to work closely with other staff members on collaborative initiatives in a constantly evolving environment
    • 3 - 4 years experience in a project development or management role
    • Proven ability to manage complex tasks in a time sensitive manner
    • Experience working with website content management systems (CMS) preferred
    • Bachelor's degree required
